This weekend was another session at the Clifton practice and this time it was about pain and how to help people deal with it better. A couple of lovely ladies called Jade Painter and Dorothea Read of North Cardiff Hypnotherapy (and previous students at the Clifton Practice) took the Saturday afternoon session where they explained how to help people cope with having chemotherapy. It's a tricky subject as there are so many variants but they explained how hypnotherapy helps people cope so much better with the side effects of having chemotherapy and the techniques that can be used. I still have much to learn on this subject and look forward with getting to grips with it. We were also taught another technique for helping those with mild phobias, something called the Swish technique. The course continues to be fascinating and fun.
